The Englishman hit a real purple patch in the spring, culminating in victory at the BMW Championship at Wentworth. The arrival of summer has seen that form desert him and he is struggling to find the touch that catapulted him clear at the top of the European Order of Merit. His excellent ball-striking and putting would make him a leading candidate to contend this week but he could be on an early flight home if his current woes persist.
