Donald has put himself behind the eightball with poor opening rounds at all three majors so far this season so the Englishman will be hoping to make a quicker start at Medinah. His straight hitting and excellent irons should be ideal for a PGA set-up with his good course management and cool demeanour also ideal for golf at the highest level. Three outings in this event have yielded no better than a tie for 23rd but he knows Medinah well having gone to college at Northwestern so that could give him an advantage.
